The CO serves to safeguard and enhance a competitive environment for consumers and businesses in Hong Kong by prohibiting anti-competitive conduct by businesses. The presentation will focus on an overview of the CO, the main prohibitions in the CO and the potential impact on the events industry, insights into the Commission’s enforcement priorities and tips for compliance.

The victim or his/her beneficiary may sue for damages if there is negligence committed by the duty holder in an accident. The talk elaborates the statutes and common law that are applicable in the exhibition industry. It also elaborates the importance of establishing a safe system of work and safety training for workers.
