The focus of our Annual Seminar is on moving forward from the impact of the global pandemic and what that means for the Hong Kong convention and exhibition industry.

We are delighted to have Mr Louis Chan,  Principal Economist of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council joining us to give his insights on the What lessons did we learn from the pandemic and how to take the best parts forward.  We also have Ms. Melissa Gecolea, Anchor, Supervising Producer of Television Broadcasts Ltd to share how show organisers can best work with journalists and broadcasters to generate exposure,  We will also hear from the newly appointed UFI President Mr Michael Duck, Executive Vice President – Commercial Development of Informa Markets, who after decades at the pinnacle of the Hong Kong exhibition industry has agreed to come and answer any questions that our audience might have on any topic related to the sector. We plus after a three-year hiatus, we are pleased that we will also have an in-person networking cocktail to get members into the Christmas mood. We hope to see as many of you as possible supporting this event…

MICE Industry in a post-covid world: Updating operating models to match the expectation of our stakeholderss Chan, Principal Economist (Global Research Team) of Hong Kong Trade Development Council

During this presentation, Louis Chan will provide an overview of the macroeconomic situation, while considering how the slowdown in globalisation is likely to impact regional markets and supply chains. As well as highlighting a number of emerging trends – including ESG compliance, digital transformation and the dawn of the metaverse  – the session will also draw lessons from several local case studies, with a particular focus on their significance for 21st-century MICE industry stakeholders.
